Shoppers on Sunday rushed to Baclaran for some bargain-price Christmas shopping for their loved ones.
According to Jamie Santos’ report on “24 Oras,” Filipinos preferred to shop in Baclaran for its reasonable prices.
Clothing for kids ranges from P50 to P150, while pants were at P200. Shoes also range from P200 to P300.
Some of the shoppers also brought their children with them.
“Nagsimba po kasi kami, kaya diretso na po,” one of the shoppers said.
Authorities have been reminding shoppers to observe minimum health standards amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the second Christmas Filipinos will be celebrating amid the health crisis.
So far, cases of COVID-19 in the country reached 2,836,592 including 50,280 fatalities and 2,775,057 recoveries. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/DVM, GMA News
