Philippines welcomes 3.7 million more Janssen COVID-19 vaccine doses

A total of 3,789,600 doses of the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the country on Tuesday night.

Of the over 3.7 million additional vaccine supply, 2,011,200 doses were donated by the Dutch government through the COVAX Facility.

Meanwhile, 1,512,000 jabs were from the Swedish government and 266,400 doses were from Austria.

The Philippines has received a total of 8,247,200 vaccine doses on Tuesday — the biggest single-day vaccine delivery so far.

The country also received some 4,457,600 COVID-19 vaccine doses earlier in the day from the French, Spanish, Dutch, and Chinese governments.

The country has administered 97,237,440 vaccine doses as of December 13.

At least 41 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against the virus.—LDF, GMA News
