Isko warns against politicians giving money in rallies

Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno warned the public against politicians who are giving money to participate in rallies and motorcades ahead of Eleksyon 2022.

Moreno said at least P300 to P500 were being given to each supporter to join rallies, while P1,500 are handed to those taking part in motorcades, according to Mariz Umali’s “24 Oras” report on Thursday.

“Mag-iingat sa mga pulitikong gastos nang gastos para magparally kasi syempre may tosgas (gastos) ‘yon babawiin ‘yon eh. Ang bawi nun mas malaki, mas malaki ang interes,” Moreno said.

(Beware of politicians who are spending a lot of money for rallies because they will later on recoup the money they spent, and with interest.)

Moreno declined to comment when asked about the Supreme Court’s decision on the anti-terror law.

Meanwhile, his running mate Dr. Willie Ong vowed to focus on building a cancer center in the country.

“Ang unang gagawin natin gagawa tayo ng Cancer Center of the Philippines kailangang kailangan natin ‘yan lalo na sa mga kababaihan,” Ong said.

(The first thing we will do is to build a Cancer Center of the Philippines because we really need that especially for women.)
