USP-Davao grad tops Electronics Engineer licensure exam

A total of 710 out of 1,484 or 47.84% passed the October 2021 Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Thursday.

The commission revealed David Xyx Temple Callena, a graduate from University of Southeastern Philippines-Davao City, topped the examination with a rating of 92.80%.

Hashim Monir Mokamad Ambia of Mindanao State University – General Santos City grabbed the second spot with a rating of 92% and Kenneth Diaz Chan of Mapua University – Manila ranked third with a rating of 91.20%.

 

Meanwhile, the PRC also reported that a total of 738 out of 974 passed the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination this month.

For the Electronics Technician licensure examination, the PRC said Mark Justine Ramos Cudiamat of University of Batangas topped the list with a rating of 95%, while Callena and Chan ranked second both with a rating of 94%.

The Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician licensure examinations were given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last October 2021.

The PRC said the date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination has yet to be announced.
