The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday said 23 new COVID-19 cases were reported among its personnel, driving up the total tally of coronavirus infections to 41,828.
Of this number, 495 are active, according to data from the PNP Health Service.
Recoveries went up by 48 to 41,210.
Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 123.
The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 4,008 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 2,783,896.
The DOH said active cases stood at 47,690.
Total recoveries climbed by 6,887 to 2,693,162; while a record-high 423 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 43,044. —KG, GMA News
