Civic leader Samira Gutoc on Sunday filed her certificate of candidacy for senator in Eleksyon 2022.
Gutoc filed her COC past 5 p.m.
Gutoc, who ran for senator in 2019 under the opposition slate Otso Diretso, Gutoc will now run under Aksyon Demokratiko, which is being led by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno as its president.
“I owe much to what I am to the Liberal Party and Vice President Leni Robredo. Si Isko, we got to work together, humanitarian, monitoring of stranded persons, displaced workers,” she said in her speech after filing her COC.
She is the first candidate under Aksyon Demokratiko’s senatorial slate to file her COC.
