The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) increased to 39,224 on Sunday, with 118 more employees testing positive for the illness.
Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries rose to 36,877 after 166 additional police officers defeated the viral disease.
The death toll remained at 116.
So far, there are 2,231 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.
Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 reached 2,470,175 with 2,267,678 recoveries and 37,405 deaths. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LBG, GMA News
