DILG: Establishments must check customers’ vax card for services

The Department of the Interior and Local Government on Thursday said restaurants and other establishments should check the vaccination card of customers if they are fully inoculated to avail of indoor services.

DILG spokesperson Under Secretary Jonathan Malaya in a text message to GMA News Online said, “All restaurants, other establishments can check the vaccination cards issued by the LGU as evidence of vaccination.”

On Tuesday, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said that the National Capital Region will be under Alert Level 4 starting Thursday, September 16, as part of the pilot testing of the implementation of the new alert system for COVID-19.

Indoor dine-in services may be allowed at a limited 10% venue/seating capacity but will cater only to individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in addition to their allowed outdoor or al fresco capacity.

Also, the workers in such services must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Personal care services limited to barbershops, hair spas, nail spas, and beauty salons will be allowed at a maximum of 30% capacity if such services are conducted outdoors regardless of vaccination status.

These establishments are also allowed to operate at a limited 10% indoor venue/seating capacity but may only cater to fully vaccinated customers in addition to their allowed outdoor capacities.

In-person religious gatherings shall be allowed at a maximum of 30% capacity if conducted outdoors regardless of vaccination status.

These gatherings may be allowed at a limited 10% capacity but may accommodate only individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in addition to their allowed outdoor capacities. —LBG, GMA News
