Albay 3rd District Representative Fernando Cabredo on Tuesday said he tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Facebook post, Cabredo said he is experiencing some mild symptoms.
“I am saddened to inform you all that I tested positive for COVID-19, with mild symptoms,” Cabredo said.
“I’m disclosing this to everyone, particularly those who have been in close contact with me, for safety precautions and (to) prevent further transmission of the virus,” he added.
Since April, it was reported that at least 15 lawmakers got infected with COVID-19.
At present, plenary sessions at the House of Representatives are being conducted in a hybrid method as part of the measures to prevent the transmission of coronavirus.—LDF, GMA News
